Martola is located at Khirna in the state of Uttarakhand. It is known for its scenic spot located about 10 kilometers from Almora. It is surrounded by dense forest and well-arranged gardens. Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum

The Kumaon Regimental Center is dedicated to the Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army. Many relics and weapons used in the Kargil War are major attractions in the Museum. It is an ideal tourist destination for those who share a passion for the military. The museum displays of photographs of wars and weapons used by the military. The timing of the Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum is 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

There is Rs.20 entry fee for the Museum.

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary has located 32 km from Almora. The tourists can enjoy all the major activities like jeep safari, wildlife spotting, birdwatching inside the park. Trekking and hiking is a great way to explore the forest. Keep some water bottles & snacks before starting your hiking. You can collect information about the flora and fauna of the sanctuary here. Binsar Park is open for tourists from 9 am to 7:30 pm daily.
Entry fee details:

For Indian Rs.150 and Foreigner Rs.600 per person.

The entry fee for students is Rs.75 per head.

Katarmal Sun Temple

Katarmal Sun temple is one of the best places to visit in Almora

The temple is dedicated to the ancient Sun God Burhadita which is situated on a hill about 17 km from Almora. The symbols of Lord Shiva-Goddess Parvati, Lord Narayana-Goddess Lakshmi, and many other deities can be seen in this temple. The stone walls, intricate shapes, and beautiful pillars add to the beauty of the temple. For this, the temple was declared a monument of national importance. It is famous for monuments and sightseeing. Temple is open for tourists from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Zero Point

Zero Point is a tower built in the center of the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. The Stunning view of the pure white mountains of the Himalayas is the major attraction point for tourists as well as locals. You can get a 360-degree view of Himalayan beauties, such as Kedarnath, Shivling, Trishul. Carry snacks and water bottles during trekking.

The entry fee of the zero points is Rs.150 per person (validity 3 days) and Rs.250 for the vehicle. tab, tab charger,  biometric not received at a branch

By Air

Pantnagar Airport is the nearest airport at a distance of 115 km from Almora. It is well connected to Delhi with daily flights. Taxi can be hired from there for Almora.

By Train

Almora is well connected with railways to the major cities of India. Kathgodam railway station is the nearest railway station at a distance approx 85 km to Almora. Kathgodam is well connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Allahabad, Lucknow, Kolkata, and many more. Local Buses and taxis are available from Kathgodam for Almora.

By Road

Almora has excellent road connectivity with other major cities and towns of North India. Buses to Kathgodam and Almora can be taken from ISBT Delhi
