- If you are nearby bus stand then hire rickshaw from that place and give them 10 to 20 Rupees Per Person only.
- Try to eat food from Golden Temple also. They give free food to all 24/7. Food is closed for just 2 hours approx., from midnight 12 to 2 AM for the cleanliness of room.
- Take your camera, headscarf with you. It’s fine capture the photos inside the Golden Temple, but not in inner temple where The Holy Book is ( Shri Guru Granth Sahib ). you can take your camera inside but you must leave it in your bag.

Jallianwala Bagh is located in Amritsar (very close to Golden Temple). It is a historic garden which has historical importance in India. People remember this garden in the memory of hundreds of wounded and killed people in the massacre that occurred on the historic day of Vaisakhi 13 April 1999. On this day, thousands of people were gathered here to celebrate the festival of Vaisakhi in Jallianwala Bagh which is enclosed by the walls and had only one exit.
Many people were gathered here who were protesters and they were defying the ban on public meetings. Because Britishers imposed a ban on the people of India that no one should do Public meetings. Because at that time people were very much encouraged to make India Independent from British rule. General Dyer and some soldiers arrived from the only exit gate and without warning, British troops fired on a large crowd of unarmed Indians and killed several hundred people and wounded many hundreds more.

The best time to go to Durgiana temple is when you are coming from Golden Temple because the Durgiana temple is very close to Golden Temple. In this place Goddess Sita gave birth to her twin sons Luv and Kush. This temple is situated 11 km west in Amritsar. It is the belief that the epic Ramayana was also composed by sage Valmiki here. That’s why this is a holy place for Hindus. A large number of people gather here on the occasion of Ram Tirath Mela (fair) in the month of November. This fair lasts for 10 to 15 days.
Gobindgarh Fort is another offbeat place to visit in Amritsar often visited by tourists. It is a historical fort also known as Bhangian da kila. After concurring it, Maharaja Ranjit Singh renamed it, Gobindgarh Fort, after the name of Tenth Guru of Sikh religion Guru Gobind Singh. It spreads across a land of 43 Acres. Initially it was occupied by the Indian Army till 2017. Later on, it is declared a heritage site by the Government of Punjab and opened it for tourists.
